How to Make Curved Cuts with a Wet Saw
Use a diamond-bladed wet saw to cut curves into the granite tiles, other tiles and natural stone tiles. With a little practice you can cut curves into a beautiful, delicate tiles to easily and effectively. Follow the instructions to perform the reduction curve with the wet saw.
Tools and Materials Needed
* Tape measure
* Steel Cork-backed ruler
* Mathematical compass
* Diamond-bladed wet Browse
* Stone tile grinder
* Tile nippers
* Masking tape
* Grease pencil
* Safety glasses
* Snug fitting glove texture
Step 1: Measure and Mark Curves
Measure your curve radius from the center to the outer edge with a tape measure. For among the less than 12 inches in diameter, use a steel ruler with cork support to reduce slippage. Draw curves and circles that you want the math with a pencil compass mounted on a pencil. Line the outer edge of the curve with masking tape.
Step 2: Prepare for Operation Wet Saw
Put the wet look and clean up the table to see every piece of dirt or stones. Ensuring clean water supply still flowing over the blades. Turn on the saw and let the knife to become completely wet before cutting.
Step 3: The First Cut – Remove excess material Away
If you cut the curve is less than a full circle, make two cuts directly into the curve, forming a right angle. Withdraw from the stone or ceramic tiles carefully to avoid cracked or broken.
Step 4: Next cut – Cut a thin piece Tile
For further rate cut, a knife that will cut to the inside of the curve at the upper right corner. The cuts would look like the fingers of the wheel. Cut the slices in 1 / 2 inch intervals around the curve. When you get more comfortable with action blade, you can cut the pieces small as 1 / 8 inch. Remember to stop just at the edge of the curve. Better to cut too short to go through a piece of the outer edge.
Step 5: Remove the debris Tile
Hold meetings with each tile nippers and move closer to the up and down gently to break the curve is as close as possible.
Step 6: Smooth Out Curve Interior
Go slowly around the interior curve, press the material against a diamond knife, picked at a small angle, only 1 or 2 degrees, to slide from each small piece of equipment. Use the side a little pressure to avoid damage to the diamond blade.
Step 7: To Cut A Full Circle
For holes less than 4 inches in diameter, use the correct size hole saw to cut a circle. For holes more than 12 inches in diameter, cut into 4-inch hole in the middle. Draw a circle in the extra material on the 2-inch intervals. Use a grinder to widen the circle to the point where you can enter a wet blade to cut closer described in Step 4.
Step 8: Safety Tips for Wet Saw Cutting Curves with
Always wear eye protection when cutting stone or ceramic tile with a wet look. Wear comfortable fitting, textured rubber gloves while cutting tile saw anything in the wet material to avoid slips and injuries.
