How to Wire a Ceiling Fan to an Existing Switch
If you want to wire a ceiling fan to your room, you will need to wire it to the electric switch near you, and then add a second switch places. This is a very complicated method, but one that will allow you to connect a ceiling fan to a switch that already exists. After you have installed both the fan and lighting connections to one place, you can use the ceiling fan control switch only. This is not a task for someone who has never wired anything before this, but if you have been doing some odd jobs around the house and was able to do this alone, you should be able to manage it by following the simple instructions.

* Screwdriver
* Electrical tape
* Wire stripper
* Step Ladder
Step 1 – Shut Off Power to the Circuit
Before you can go further, you will need to cut power supply to the room you are putting into the fan make sure you remove the fuse or circuit breaker tape up, so that power can not be accidentally restored by someone else. You also might want to turn on the lights in the room that you use, so you know when the electricity goes out, although this is not necessary if you actually remove the fuse. Check power to turn off electrical devices in the room, and then you can start.
Step 2 – Remove the Light Fitting
The position of ceiling fans in the place where you want. Assemble all the parts, and then climb up the ladder steps. Place the fan installed on the top step, and stood beneath it. Remove the fan that will replace a light fixture, and then drag down until the cable is exposed to light. You should see three wires, a green wire (grounding wires) cable, white, neutral, and then a live cable is black or red. Remove the nut that holds the tape or wire in place.
Step 3 – Install Ceiling Fan
Check the wire will support the fan, and if it does not strengthen the wire by adding a bracket. This will help support the weight of your ceiling fans. Connect the cable to the green grounding connection, the neutral white, and red wire or blocks of life. Do this by first cutting the cable insulation enough to expose the bottom. Ceiling fan wires to the ceiling, by placing a wire or screw into the wire nut, and wrap it with tape operation. Insert each cable to the correct location. Push the fan up into position and secure it in place. Once this is done, restart the cable, and check that the power of running to the fan.
